m-Encrypt API

m-Crypt:API is the technology used to secure all data regardless of type, sensitivity or location (phone, MNO network, application servers etc.). This security technology is implemented using data encryption and utilises the AES 256-bit algorithm which is considered to be unbreakable.

With this technology, all data is automatically stored in encrypted form whether on the handset, in transit through a Mobile Network Operator’s network, or on the application provider's back-end application platform. Data is only decrypted when the authorised user is accessing the data. Thus unauthorised access is not possible regardless of whether the SIM has been cloned, the phone has been lost, stolen, disposed of, or merely left ‘lying about’.

The Encryption technology is also available in toolkit form as an Application Programming Interface (API), which will allow businesses and software development companies to make use of this technology to develop their own secure applications.

The licensing model for m-Crypt:API will depend on how the target company intends to use it in their application(s). It is available as a yearly license, per transaction license, or per user license. A typical use of the m-Crypt API would be in secure applications for Healthcare, Bookmakers, m-Commerce and/or Share Dealing.
