m-Ticketing

m-Ticketing can be used for the purchase of any ticket based service such as railway travel, airline travel and entertainment events. Additionally, services such as Hotel Reservation and Car Reservation are also available via this secure application. Therefore, a frequent travel user can browse an airline’s schedule, book and pay for flights, select and book hotels and reserve a car with various car rental agencies.

The end-user registers for the service on the service provider's website. Very importantly, m-Ticketing can be downloaded to the mobile phone over-the-air (OTA) and does not require the phone’s SIM to be modified, nor does it require specialised installation procedures or a visit to an office. The application is self-installing and requires no user training or support. The application is menu driven and is simplicity in terms of use.

Using the m-Crypt technology, payment is also transacted on the phone in a completely secure environment.

Dependent on the requirements of the client, the virtual ticket can be presented as a bar code which

can be scanned at a railway station or on checking into a hotel. Additional services and features can be automatically added at anytime and the upgraded application can be downloaded OTA to the end-user phone. m-Ticketing will work on virtually any mobile phone.

The m-Ticketing/m-Travel service is mobile operator independent and includes a range of customisable services such as:

• Flight Arrivals/Departures enquiries;
• Flights bookings;
• Flight purchases;
• Flight Itinerary;
• Flight Confirmation Numbers i.e. ticket-less;
• The ability to directly promote special offers, new route information, new flight schedules and cross-selling of services such as Travel Insurance etc;

Once the flight has been booked and paid for, the purchaser can then be sent flight number or confirmation code, or if the participating airline wishes, a bar code that can then be scanned at time of check in, and even used as a boarding pass.
